Abstracts

West Lafayette is on Eastern Daylight Time.
The lectures will be in Math 175 on the north side of the breezeway under the MATH building. This is the side opposite the elevators.
Refreshments will be in the Math Library Lounge on the 3rd floor. To reach it you have to cross to the side with the elevators using the breezeway or the second floor.

Directions and Parking

By Car:
From I-65 South use exit 178, to IN 43 South which will turn into US 231.
From I-65 North use exit 172 to IN 26 West.
From I-74 Use exit 34 to US 231.

Once you get to West Lafayette, you will get to the intersection of US 231 and IN 26. Go west on IN 26, called West State St.
Turn right on N. University St. When you see the math building to your right, there will be a garage (University St. Garage) on your left.
You can park there for free during the week-end. Its code on the Campus map is PGU.

By plane:
The most convenient is to use IND (Indianapolis Airport). Shuttle service is provided by Lafayette Limo and Star of America
The alternative is to go via Chicago. There are shuttles to ORD by Express Air Coach.

By train:
Lafayette has an Amtrak station.

There are also several Bus connections to Lafayette/West Lafayette.
Lodging
We have arranged a block of rooms at
Union Club Hotel (reserve by April 13, mention "Midwest Topology Seminar'').

Other hotels near the campus are the Hilton Garden Inn at Wabash Landing and the Holiday Inn in Lafayette.



Support

Some limited funds are available to support hotel and travel costs of participants, especially for graduate students and junior faculty without other support. 
If you would like to apply for support, contact Ralph Kaufmann (rkaufman@math.purdue.edu) as soon as possible.
Please include an estimate for the expenses.
The deadline for applications is Th April 19. Decisions will be made soon thereafter.


The conference is supported by the NSF and the Purdue Department of Mathematics.
 

Meals

There will be a reception with some food and drinks on Saturday after the last talk and a catered sandwich lunch on Sunday.

There are several restaurants in the West Lafayette area close to Campus and more in downtown Lafayette.
