Office hours: 3-3:30 Tuesdays, 1:30-2 Wednesdays, 1:30-3 Fridays, or by appointment, in MATH 602.
Textbook: Functional Analysis, by Michael Reed and Barry Simon.
We will begin covering the main topics of the book in order, and later branch out into the Additional Reading. Grading is based on homework. There are no exams.
