Bruce A. Bradley — 2010 Outstanding Actuarial Science Alumnus

Bruce A. Bradley, 2010 Outstanding Actuarial Science Alumnus, was honored along with other outstanding alumni of the Mathematics and Statistics Departments at a dinner on Thursday, September 23 and at a reception for all College of Science outstanding alumni, hosted by Dean Jeff Roberts, on Friday, September 24.
After receiving a B.S. in mathematics at Purdue in 1972, Mr. Bradley continued his education at Michigan State University, where he earn an M.S. in mathematics in 1975. He then began his career in the insurance industry, working in the Chicago area for various firms until moving to Dallas, TX in 1998 as President of Provident American Insurance Company. He next served as Vice President and Chief Actuary, Student Division, at Healthmarkets, Inc. from 2001 to 2006, before moving to Florida in 2006 where he is currently Vice President and Actuary at United Healthcare Student Resources in St. Petersburg.
Mr. Bradley is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) since 1985 and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1980. He has served on Purdue Actuarial Advisory Council since 2006.
