College of Science Distinguished Alumni visited the West Lafayette campus to attend recognition events on April 11, 2014.

Robert (Bob) Beideman
Retirement Plan Manager
Southern Company

Bob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied statistics in 1983. He has over 25 years of retirement benefits experience working with human resource and finance leaders to strategically design, effectively communicate, and efficiently administer retirement programs as part of the organization's overall compensation and benefit package. Prior to joining Southern Company, he worked as a Senior Consultant, Retirement Sales Leader, and Retirement Practice Leader for Aon Hewitt and Mercer in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC.

Bob is an Enrolled Actuary, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He currently serves as a Chairperson for an Enrolled Actuaries examination.
