Prof. Freydoon Shahidi's 70th birthday honored by journal

The August 2017 issue of the Bulletin of Iranian Mathematical Society has been published in honor of  Prof. Freydoon Shahidi's 70th birthday. 

Prof. Shahidi, Distinguished Professor of Mathematics, was born June 19, 1947 in Tehran.  He received his PhD in 1975 from John Hopkins.  His honors include being named an Honorary Member of the Iranian Mathematical Society, a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science.

Included in the issue are works by a number of his contemporaries, postdocs and students as well as those that have been inspired by his work.
