Info for finals week of MA 366 ------------------------------ Find a link to my farewell video near the bottom of the page at https://www.math.purdue.edu/~bell/MA366/PepTalks/ I have enjoyed teaching MA 366 in spite of the excruciating semester, and it has been great to get to know so many of you in my WebEx meeting room. Keep in touch. I will give people until Monday at 1:00 pm (when I release the final exam to you) to enter their Exam 2 score in the survey on Brightspace. (Find a copy of the instructions below.) If you can't do it by then, I will grade your Exam 2 papers for you. I will release the final exam to you on Monday, Dec 7 at 1:00 pm and it will be due in Brightspace by Thurs, Dec 10 at 10:00 pm. It is a 20 question multiple choice exam that can be done in less than two hours. I will give you up to three hours to do it in one sitting. Find rules and conditions for taking the final on the home page. I will hold my last WebEx office hour 10:30-11:30 am on Monday, Dec 7. Ask questions about the exam via Private Piazza posts or emails to me. Best wishes and Happy Holidays! -Steve Bell ------------------------------------------- Exam 2 grading: Please find the solutions and grading key for Exam 2 at https://www.math.purdue.edu/~bell/MA366/exm2f20solns.pdf Take off 2 points for arithmetic and minor algebra errors. Take off 3 points for integration errors. It is ok to show the answer in a different form as long as it is a correct expression for the correct answer. Grade your paper and then report your score via the fill-in-the-blank "Exam 2 score" survey in Brightspace, which you can access by clicking on Course Tools and selecting Surveys from the drop-down menu. Be sure to click on Submit after you enter your score. If you take the survey multiple times, I will use your last entry. I will look over your Exam 2 paper to check the accuracy of your grading as I enter your scores in the gradebook. ------------------------------------------- END
