The Story So Far
At this point in your career, you have hopefully read at least one paper and book.
Graded Exercise: Create a short article using a paper and a book from your research, or a course you have taken. Cite your favorite result, theorem, or portion of each and explain with a brief paragraph for each on why it is meaningful to you. Upload the PDF to Brightspace.
Place a bibliography at the end of the article using biblatex
, and correctly cite the works you reference using a bibliography file.
Advanced Exercise: Citing a lecture or conference talk
You may have found material in a course, outside of a book, meaningful to you.
If you want to cite something unpublished, you will have to write your own bib$\TeX$. Here is an example template for unpublished works:
@unpublished{key,
title= {talk title},
author = {author names},
year = {year},
note= {conference name},
URL= {url link to talk abstract if any},
}
Feel free to add another paragraph, or replace one of the two paragraphs from this exercise, with a lecture, conference talk, or other unpublished work that has impacted you.
