MA 58500 Mathematical Logic I

- Books: It will be a good idea to utilize a number of different books for this class, and more details will be given in due course. The book that we will likely most closely follow, at least at the start of the semester, is D. Marker, An Invitation to Mathematical Logic , Graduate Texts in Mathematics no. 301, Springer (2024). This can be obtained as an e-book through the university library by 1) clicking on that link, which will load the entry for the book in the library catalogue; 2) clicking on the link "Online Access Available" on the catalogue entry to go to the Springer website (at that point you will need to provide your Career Account username and password); 3) downloading a .pdf or .epub copy of the book.
