Welcome to my webpage! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mathematics at Purdue University, working with Gregery Buzzard and Charles Bouman in the Integrated Imaging Lab. We primarily focus on computational imaging, advancing traditional and novel imaging systems through the design and development of algorithms. I currently work in collaboration with the Directed Energy Directorate (RD) at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), implementing statistics-based algorithms to model and simulate aero-optics. More broadly, my research interests include stochastic modeling, statistical signal processing, and deep learning (in particular, generative diffusion models).

Since August 2024, I have been an officer of the SIAM Student Chapter at Purdue University! This academic year, we hope to facilitate more communication and collaboration among students who study industrial and applied math. If you are interested in joining this group or have any questions, please reach out! We will be having social events throughout the year, which will be announced on the linked webpage.

Outside of mathematics, I really enjoy hiking! I picked up this hobby when I was an undergraduate student in Knoxville, Tennessee and wanted to make good use of my proximity to the Smoky Mountains. My favorite mountain I hiked was Mount Le Conte, hosting the beautiful Alum Cave and Rainbow Falls trails. Here in Lafayette, there are several great trails to walk or run on; I especially like the Wabash Heritage Trail. In addition, Prophetstown State Park has many beautiful trails.

Here is a copy of my curriculum vitae (last updated Feb. 2025).

Biography

I am from Nashville, Tennessee and went to The University of Tennessee, Knoxville for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in honors mathematics and minored in computer science. In early August 2022, I moved to Lafayette, Indiana to start my graduate studies at Purdue! Although I consider myself a Nashville native, I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and lived in Nacogdoches, Texas throughout my early childhood. My family moved to Nashville in 2010.
