About me
My name is June Weiland (she/they) and I am somehow a fourth year mathematics PhD student at Purdue University. I received my Bachelor's degree of mathematics in 2021 at Texas Tech University with a minor in computer science. Outside of school, I enjoy swimming, dancing, and poetry.
Research interests
I am broadly interested in queering assumptions in mathematics. Currently, I want to explore the effects of gender based oppression on transgender students in STEM fields at universities. How might highlighting these experiences bring joy and community to transgender students?
