About me

I am an Associate Professor at Purdue University. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from Sharif University of technology in Tehran and completed my Ph.D. at Stanford University in 2015 under supervision of Søren Galatius. From 2015 to 2016, I was a member of Michael Weiss’ group in Germany and subsequently held a Boas Assistant Professorship at Northwestern University. Before joining Purdue, I spent the 2019-2020 academic year at the University of Copenhagen.

My research lies at the intersection of homotopy theory and geometry. I am particularly interested in applications of homotopy theory to the study of moduli spaces of geometric structures, including foliated manifold bundles, as well as topics such as homological stability, the stable homology of moduli spaces, and automorphism groups of manifolds.

My research is partially supported by NSF CAREER Grant DMS-2239106 and a Simons Foundation Collaboration Grant (855209).

I am co-organizing Purdue topology seminar.
